Whether in good times or bad, Home Nursing Foundation remains devoted to its cause to caring for the sick elderly community in Singapore providing them quality and affordable home nursing service thus allowing them lead dignified lives.
On 7 February 2009, Home Nursing Foundation organized its 22nd Seniors’ Nite event. The main objective was to bring festive cheer to the elderly residents from the various Welfare Homes in Singapore.
About 1,500 elderly folks from 40 Homes were invited to this annual event at the Singapore Expo Hall 2B. Our guests were served scrumptious vegetarian dinner and there were great entertainment too. One of our special guests appearance was one of Hong Kong most celebrated celebrity - Nam Hong ( 南红 ). Others were former and current local artistes such Bai Yan ( 白言), Koh Cheng Mun, Zhu Xiu Feng ( 朱秀凤 ) amd Lin Li Yun ( 林丽云 ).
Home Nursing Foundation is honoured to have President S R Nathan and Mrs Nathan graced the event. To add to the spirit of Lunar New Year, his Excellency and another 40 sponsors and celebrities distributed ‘Hong Bao’ to our elderly guests. This was made possible because of Shaw Foundation’s generous donation of $30,000 for the red packet distribution to our 1,500 elderly guests from the various welfare homes.
