What's Coming

 

Home Nursing Foundation (“ HNF “) is Singapore’s largest  and  its only  island-wide  visiting-nurse  service. HNF was registered as a voluntary welfare organisation on 2 October 1976 and as an Exempt Charity under the Charities Act on 20 December 1982.  It is organised as a society under the Societies Act.  It has IPC status and is a member of the Health Endowment Fund.

In 2010, HNF’s visiting nurses made more than 23,000 house calls/ home visits to approximately 4,100 patients. HNF’s nurses also give vital caregiver training to the patient’s carers, to help these caregivers cope with their charges at home.  For 2011 (and beyond), we are anticipating that there will be an increase in the number of patients that HNF will serve. The majority of our patients are aged 60 and above and are non-ambulant. The others are semi-ambulant or homebound ambulant.  About 75% of our patients are from the lowest income groups and they pay subsidised fees or have their fees waived.

Our vision is to be Singapore's leading home healthcare charity providing quality, accessible and comprehensive care. We aim to provide high quality, comprehensive and affordable nurse-led home healthcare services through care-coordination, caregiver training and education.

We need your support and help

For this financial year, HNF’s operating budget will be approximately $4.5 million.  Even after government grants and some patient fees from those who are able to pay subsidised fees, HNF will need to fund-raise about $2 million this year to cover shortfalls in funding.  We need your support and help to raise funds for home healthcare and nursing services, and to benefit the needy and the elderly. 

Home Nursing Foundation Charity Walk 2011

This is one of the 2 signature fundraising events that HNF is organising for FY2011/2012. This annual Charity Walk, started since 2009, has successfully raised around S$200,000/year since its launch. This year, we are targeting to raise $250,000 so that more of our less fortunate patients will be able to benefit from HNF’s fundraising activities.
