ADMISSION OFFICER

The admission officer shall perform administrative work for the Home Therapy service, Home Medical Services and the Disability Assessment procedure which may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

Job responsibilities

(For Therapy Services)

  • Conduct admission process for new home therapy patients, which includes calling patients to explain the Home Therapy service contract and providing basic financial counselling
  • Calling patients to confirm their therapy appointments on a daily basis
  • Monitoring utilisation of the physiotherapists’ and occupational therapist’s appointment slots
  • Provide basic care coordination by creating referrals in IRMS
  • Facilitating Assistive Technology Fund (ATF) applications, which include liaising with patients, therapists, vendors and the fund administrators

(For Home Medical Services)

  • Perform administrative work for the Home Medical service, which may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Liaising with NHGD to arrange blood test appointments ordered by the Home Medical doctors
  • Calling patients to inform them of their blood test appointments and seek their confirmation
  • Checking the monthly invoices sent by the NHGD to make sure that there are no errors

(For Disability Assessment procedure)

  • Explaining the assessment process to patients and to help identify which disability schemes they are applying for
  • Maintaining an Excel database of patients that have received disability assessments
  • Verifying that all scheduled assessments have been performed by the assigned clinical staff every month
  • Reconciling the reimbursement received MOH with the number of assessments done every month

Job Requirement

  • Min. GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ Levels or Diploma in any discipline
  • Min 1 year experience in administrative work, working experience in Healthcare industry will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Possess good telephone etiquette and a positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task, friendly and responsible for tasks entrusted
