[CLOSED] Session 1: Case Finding, Diagnosis and Staging (Pending CME Approval)

Speaker: Dr Philip Yap

Sypnosis: Is screening for dementia useful? How should one approach a patient with memory loss? Why is making a diagnosis important? Must dementia be assessed by a neuroscience specialist for a diagnosis?

Family members may find it difficult at times to convince an older person to go to the hospital for assessment especially when there are multiple comorbidities, mobility challenges and socioeconomic constraints. Through case study and discussion, practical approaches for community physicians to better assess patients with cognitive impairment will be shared.

The webinar session will incorporate both lecture and case discussion for a more engaging and fruitful learning.
