Job responsibilities

The care associate shall assist the following duties:

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living like feeding, showering, toileting, elimination and transfer of clients
• Active participation and assist to carry out individual care plans of clients assigned as in a multi-disciplinary team
• Conduct individual and small group activities as planned by clinicians or supervisor
• Assist in meeting diet requirements of clients and meals setup for clients and assist in safe preparation of food (example cutting, blending, reheating)
• Assist clinicians in the care of clients like vital signs monitoring and to remind medication intakes when required
• Escorting clients between centre and other destinations with or without transport
• Maintain cleanliness by disinfecting the premises including equipment, furniture and tools when requires
• Proper documentation and safekeeping of centre records
• Assist with basic housekeeping duties such as cleaning and clearing of body discharges and waste disposal
• Adherence to audits, centre policies and training
• Provides cross coverage to colleagues or deployment to other centre/s when need arises

Job requirements

• Min. WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or relevant certification in Healthcare
• Min. 1 year experience in healthcare will be advantageous.
• Experience in working with elderly settings will be advantageous
• Willing to work staggered shifts according to centre operating hours
