Job Description

• Ensure compliance of cleanliness and hygiene of the centre and equipment to the standard of NEA requirements.
• Follow closely according to scope and frequency of cleaning, disinfection, and facility schedule.
• Comply with the cleaning standards in hygiene rules & regulation and maintenance schedule for the centre as set by the centre’s Environmental Control Coordinator (ECC).
• Assist in the disinfection of the premises including equipment, furniture, refrigerator and tools under supervision.
• Provide incidental housekeeping duties such as cleaning and clearing of spillage, body discharges under supervision.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained properly.
• Check F&B and Toiletries stock inventories and report to superior accordingly.
• Practice good hygiene and personal presentation.
• Perform proper waste disposal.
• Assist in meals set-up for members/residents and safe preparation of food under supervision.
• Assist in encouraging members/residents to be independent and self-reliant within the centre.
• Ensure thorough washing and disinfecting of all dishes and activity items that members/residents have had body contact with after they leave.
• Clean up and put equipment back to its place after use.
• Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times when members/residents are around.
• Respond to situations that need urgent attention.
• Maintain cordial relationships with the occupants of premises.
• Observe confidentiality of information in relation to the centre and its occupants.
• Proper documentation of cleaning records.
• Compliance in trainings like Environment Cleaning WSQ and Basic Food Hygiene course.
• Attend centre meetings and audits.
• Perform basic level of facilities maintenance duties when required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Primary School education for locals.
• Environment Cleaning WSQ or Basic Food Hygiene will be advantageous.
• 1 year experience in a similar setting preferred.
• Reliable, meticulous in cleaning, possess positive attitude and physically fit.
• Patient and enjoys working with seniors and people with disabilities.
• Willing to work staggered shifts according to the centre’s operating hours.
