Job Responsibilities

  • Guide and supervise the Finance Assistant (Accounts Receivables – Donations and Home Personal Care).
  • Check all the donation transactions keyed in by Communications & Development staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of donation income recorded in CMS.
  • Perform monthly Reconciliation of donations recorded in CMS system to bank statements; ensure payment via the modes of one-time, monthly credit cards, cash, cheques and Giro donations are credited into OCBC account and properly recorded.
  • Prepare and post the month end journal entries for donations income in the accounting system.
  • GIRO-Related
    • Process GIRO application by sending the application form to the bank and report any rejections and terminations of GIRO to Communications & Development team.
    • Upload monthly GIRO file to bank and upload the Bank Return file to CMS system.
    • Prepare and send out thank you letters to inform donors on the commencement of deduction.
  • Involved in developing and implementing the e-billing system
  • Ensure payment via cash, cheques, Credit card, monthly GIRO and any other form of payment has been credited into OCBC account and properly recorded and updated in the debtors account accordingly.
  • Prepare the annual tax deductible donations file and upload via IPC link.
  • Provide analysis on pricing of existing and new services of Wellness centres and assist in the roll out of such pricing schemes. 
  • Perform the client billings for Wellness centres on a timely basis as instituted by the terms of the client service contract.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for debtors account and bad debt monitoring.
  • Support the Assistant Manager in the monthly analysis on financial performance of Wellness centres.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the said reporting officer.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy with at least 4 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Accounting with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Possess supervisory experience
  • Person of Integrity, upholds professionalism, exercises prudence, engages in teamwork and possess a positive attitude.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Navision is an advantage.
  • Able to multi-task and has an eye for detail.
