Job Description

• Ensure compliance of cleanliness and hygiene of the centre and equipment to the standard of NEA requirement.
• Comply with cleaning standards in hygiene rules & regulation and maintenance schedule for the centre set by the Environmental Control Coordinator (ECC) of the centre.
• Ensure adherence to  scope and frequency of cleaning and disinfection schedule. Proper documentation of cleaning records.
• Ensure centre is clean, safe and neat: all floors are dry and clean at all times.
• Clean and store equipment neatly and organized.
• Wash and disinfect dishes and activity items that were in contact with seniors.
• Provide incidental housekeeping duties such as cleaning and clearing of spillage, body discharges, etc.
• Assist in disinfection of the premises including equipment, furniture, refrigerator and tools.
• Perform proper waste disposal.
• Monitor F&B and toiletry inventory and report to superior accordingly.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained properly.
• Perform basic level of facilities maintenance duties when required.
• Assist in fetching and sending of seniors home to encourage their participation in centre activities.
• Assist in activity, meal setup and safe preparation of food, including purchase of food items if required.
• Encourage seniors to be independent and self-help within centre.
• Maintain cordial relationships with seniors and observe confidentiality of seniors’ personal information.
• Respond to situations that need urgent attention.
• Practice good hygiene and personal presentation.
• Attend centre meetings and audits.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Reporting Officer.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Primary School education for locals.
• Environment Cleaning WSQ or Basic Food Hygiene will be advantageous.
• 1 year experience in a similar setting preferred.
• Reliable, meticulous in cleaning, possesses a positive attitude and physically fit.
• Patient and enjoys working with seniors and people with disabilities.
